HABC First Aid at Work
(3 day course)
The new, HSE-approved 3-day First Aid at Work course was launched on 1st October 2009.
It is a requirement of health and safety law that employers should ensure the health and safety and welfare of their employees and the public.
Employees must also provide adequate personnel, training and equipment to render first aid to their employees.
This course replaces the 4 day course.

- The roles and responsibilities of a First Aider
- Managing an unresponsive casualty who is breathing normally
- Managing an unresponsive casualty who is not breathing normally
- Recognise and assist a casualty who is choking
- Managing a casualty who is wounded and bleeding
- Managing a casualty who is in shock
- Managing a casualty with a minor injury
- Administer first aid for a range of conditions
- Managing a casualty for a range of major illness
